The Parts of Self: Using Music and Drama Therapies to Explore Roles through Free Association in the Psychoanalytic Encounter


This workshop will explore the intersections of music and drama therapy theories and contemporary psychoanalysis. Using Role Theory as a basis for embodied work in sessions with patients, this presentation will use contemporary, relational psychoanalytic material to show how clinical work can deepen when using these theoretical approaches together.
